Semina Rizou

Semina Rizou is a dance artist originally from Greece, now based in Lausanne, Switzerland. She began dancing at the age of five, studying classical, modern, and flamenco. She continued her studies at a professional level at the National School of Dance in Athens (KSOT) and at the Ballet Junior de Genève.

After completing her studies, she worked with Damien Jalet and joined the MARCHEPIED company in Lausanne in 2024. She then began collaborating with the Pettit*Rochet, Joshua Monten, and Philippe Saire dance companies. During the 2026 season, she will work with the Sythesis 748 company in Greece and the Delicate Disaster company in Lausanne.

She also explores dance around the world of improvisation, working notably alongside Emilio Artessero Quesada. This led her to create two solos: “LineScape” and, with Franck Vacheron, “Les ombres colorées”. In January 2026, she presented her first artistic co-creation with drummer Félix Bettems, “Chalet,” at the API in Geneva. This year, she will begin her own research and creation with the dance artist Christianna Ilipoulou, called “Se voir-être vue” .
